Environmental Sustainability Analysis of Case Studies of Agriculture Residue Exploitation

The agriculture sector produces significant amounts of organic residues and the choice management strategy these flows affects environmental sustainability sector. scientific literature is rich with innovative processes for production bio-based products (BBP) from residues, aimed at implementation circular economy principles. Based on data, present paper performed a life cycle assessment assessed five exploitation rice wheat straw, tomato pomace, orange peel. analysis identified as issues high energy demand use impact solvent. comparison BBP conventional showed higher loads that used (except straw case). obtained results do not want to discourage in sector, but rather draw attention all stakeholders aspects, focusing necessity decrease electricity identify ecological agents manufacturing, agreement most recent European policies.
